Product Description

Introduction

Through conduit slab gate valve is a sliding valve with a parallel gate as the closing part. The closing part can be a single gate or a double gate with a dilution mechanism in between. The pressing force of the gate to the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate or floating valve seat. If it is a double-gate slab gate valve, the dilution mechanism between the two gates can supplement this pressing force.

Structural features

1. It adopts a floating valve seat, two-way opening and closing, reliable sealing, and flexible opening and closing.

2. The gates are all provided with guide strips for precise guidance, and the sealing surfaces are all sprayed with hard alloy for erosion resistance.

3. The valve body has high bearing capacity, and the channel is straight-through. When fully opened, it is connected with the gate guide hole and is similar to a straight pipe, with very small flow resistance. The valve stem adopts composite filler and multiple seals, which makes the sealing reliable and the friction small.

4. When closing the valve, turn the handwheel clockwise, the gate moves down to the bottom. Due to the effect of the medium pressure, the inlet sealing seat is pushed toward the gate, forming a larger sealing pressure ratio, thus forming the first seal. At the same time, the gate is pressed against the outlet sealing seat to form a double seal.

5. Due to the double seal, the wearing parts can be replaced without affecting the pipeline operation.

6. When opening the gate, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise, the gate moves up, and the diversion hole and the channel hole are connected. As the gate rises, the through hole gradually increases. When it reaches the limit position, the diversion hole and the channel hole coincide, and it is fully open at this time.

Selection principles

1. For oil and natural gas pipelines, use a single-disc or double-disc slab gate valve. If the pipeline needs to be cleaned, use a single-disc or double-disc open-stem slab gate valve with a diversion hole.

2. For the pipeline and storage equipment of refined oil, use a single-disc or double-disc slab gate valve without a diversion hole.

3. For wellhead devices for oil and natural gas extraction, single or double disc slab gate valves with non-dark stem floating valve seats and diversion holes are selected. Most of them are API16A standard, and the pressure levels are API2000, API3000, API5000, API10000, API15000, and API20000.

4. For pipelines with suspended particle media, knife-type slab gate valves are selected.

5. For urban gas transmission pipelines, single or double disc soft-sealed open-stem slab gate valves are selected.

6. For urban tap water projects, single or double disc open-stem slab gate valves without diversion holes are selected.


Use, maintenance, care and precautions

1. The valves are tested for strength and sealing before leaving the factory, and all connections should be kept in the initial state during use.

2. The operating handwheel of this series of valves is marked with the opening and closing rotation direction mark, and the upper part of the open-stem type is equipped with an opening and closing height scale for adjustment indication.

3. When welding this valve to the pipeline, the valve should be opened, and the neck should be properly protected with wet materials to minimize high-temperature heat conduction to prevent damage to the sealing packing.

4. It is strictly forbidden to use the force rod when closing the valve. When the gate is closed to the top, the handwheel should be rotated 1/2 turn to make the gate in a floating state.

5. During the use of the valve, a quantitative amount of grease should be regularly injected into the grease injection joint of the valve cap.
6. During the use of the valve, if it leaks due to wearing parts, it should be replaced in time.

7. During the maintenance of the valve, the inner cavity should be cleaned, and grease should be added to each transmission part during assembly.

8. During the storage and deactivation of the valve, the gate should be in the closed position. For long-term storage, it should be placed in a ventilated and dry place, and regularly inspected and maintained.
