Overview

Y type strainer is used to remove the solids in the fluids, such as rust, sand, mechanical particle for the purpose of protecting the downstream equipment. It is ususally installed at the inlet of reducing valve, relief valve and other equipment.

Working principle

The strainer consist of Y type body, filter, cover and seals. The media go into the strainer and blocked by the strainer. Clean media will go out while the solids are isolated and removed. 


Features

1. Y-shaped flow channel optimizes fluid dynamics and has low pressure loss;

2. It is easy to open the flange cover to clean or replace the screen without strainer disassembled. 

3. The number of filter meshes can be flexibly selected (10-480 meshes) and customized on demand (such as 18-30 meshes for water and 100-480 meshes for oil).

4. The shell material includes carbon steel, stainless steel, and brass, with a wide temperature range (-80°C to 450°C) and a pressure resistance up to 42MPa.
